We are so glad we got referred to Ms. Thathsarani for speech therapy for our son diagnosed with ASD initial stage. She is very dedicated, approachable and always contactable over the phone for questions we had and really helped in providing us guidance on the progressive activities we need to carry out with our son at home. Her sessions were very methodical with a set of objectives and after each session a summary of the session along with positives and negative behaviours observed were marked where we were given instructions on what activities to focus on with our son till the next session to improve the negatives noticed. When he passed one developmental milestone she progressed to the next step and this focused and methodical approach in therapy helped speed up the process of recovery for our son since he was diagnosed early into the spectrum. We were asked to video our daily activities and share with her as well as our doctor where they both reviewed the videos and provided feedback on where we need to improve in our interactions. I was also able to call her to get guidance when needed and she was also kind enough to share additional activities I could try out at home. We really started to see progress in our son in just couple weeks into treatment and within 5 months he was no longer portraying any of the former ASD characteristics. We are forever grateful to our doctor Prof. Samanmali Sumasena and Ms. Thathsarani Jayatissa for their guidance in treating our son to help function like any other child.

Taking Cheynnen for Speech therapy classes at Small talk has been absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, the service and the teachers that are provided towards students and their parents is at a very high standard and of excellent quality.
We have seen a tremendous improvement when it comes to Cheynnen as he has now been taught so much through sessions with Ms. Deshika at Small talk. The treatment given to students as they are students with special needs, is handled with the utmost care, patience, and support. My baby was diagnosed with Mild Autism, at the age of 2 years and 2 months and we were directed to Dr. Nimisha for Speech Therapies and since it was covid time, our therapy was limited to online sessions and we were little bit far away from Colombo, we were from Tangalle so it was challenging to do physical/in person sessions on a weekly basis, so we haad to do it was easier to do online sessions. We had speech therapy sessions with Ms. Thathsarani, and she was very helpful, understanding, with her expertise knowledge on Autism we were able to see good results in few months and as per the doctor’s advice (Dr. Nimisha) we have some continuous online sessions as well. Earlier there were a lot of ups and downs, with my child, and we were very disappointed and not in a mood to do these activities even, and whenever I contacted Ms. Thathsarani she was there and she was very kind enough to tell me how I should overcome those negatives, and also she helped us to keep our minds calm. After a challenging 2 years, I’m very pleased to say that now he’s a very good, active, talkative, playful child and very likely to a normal, ordinary child. So thank you so much Small Talk, Dr. Nimisha, specially I should mention Ms. Thathsarani as she was very talented, understanding and kind hearted. I would recommend this institution for any speech and language therapies with full of my heart.

My kid is doing speech therapy with aroshi for three years now . We really like the activities she does to get the kids generalize in the situations. Aroshi has helped us to learn a lot and help our kid.
